Annual and Long-Term Initiatives are the current 1- and 3-year efforts developed to achieve Banner's Strategic Pillars.
They are key actions developed to achieve objectives or close the gap between measures of performance and targets. Initiatives differ from goals in that they are more specific, have stated boundaries (beginning and end) and have a person/team assigned to lead them.
Information for each initiative including how it is measured, its purpose and goals, and the teams responsible for its implementation can be found in the Initiative Profile documents. To review the profile documents and other information on the current initiatives, please visit the 2024 Annual and Long-Term Initiatives page on the Banner Intranet.
Banner Health’s strategic plan was created to propel the organization forward in accomplishing its mission of “Making health care easier so life can be better.” Annual and Long-Term Initiatives are developed and implemented to support the enterprise’s efforts to achieve the strategic plan. The profile documents provides more detailed information for each initiative, including how success is tracked and who's leading the effort.
