Annual and Long-Term Initiatives are the current 1- and 3-year efforts developed to achieve Banner's Strategic Pillars.
They are key actions developed to achieve objectives or close the gap between measures of performance and targets. Initiatives differ from goals in that they are more specific, have stated boundaries (beginning and end) and have a person/team assigned to lead them.
Banner’s Strategic Plan is developed to propel the organization forward in accomplishing its mission of “Making health care easier so life can be better.” As a component of that plan, Annual and Long-Term Initiatives are developed and implemented to support the enterprise’s efforts through one and three-year efforts developed to close gaps on performance, achieve targeted and aspirational goals, and are aligned to Banner’s Strategic Pillars. Key actions are developed and tracked within stated boundaries, including measuring performance against targets approved by Banner’s Board of Directors.
